Quattroflow™ Quaternary Diaphragm Pumps are truly unique in that their method of operation mimics that of the human heart, which is the perfect model for the safe, reliable and efficient transfer of biological materials. The low-friction, low-shear and low-pulsation operation of Quattroflow pumps with minimal corresponding temperature increase makes them ideal for critical applications within biopharmaceutical manufacturing, including Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), Chromatography (RFC), centrifuge feed, sterile virus filtration, purification and inline dilution. Quattroflow pumps can also be outfitted with a single-use liquid chamber, which enables them to meet strict speed-to-market manufacturing demands.
Quaternary Diaphragm Pumps
Quattroflow develops and manufactures, in close cooperation with their customers, specific biotech pumps for the critical applications in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.
Whether in cross-flow systems, chromatography devices or centrifuges: the pumps gently convey aqueous solutions and biological products sensitive to shear force ranging from blood to vaccines without denaturing them.
Quattroflow Fluid Systems provides the best consultancy, precise sizing of the pumps and peripheral components, like flow, pressure and other process parameters, including control systems and data logging.
There are approximately 2,000 specialized Quattroflow pumps in operation worldwide at numerous pharmaceutical companies, including Blue-Chip names such as: Baxter, Roche, and Boehringer Ingelheim.
Quattroflow's positive displacement pumps incorporate a four piston-diaphragm technology with no mechanical seals that is driven by an eccentric shaft and electrical motor. Quattroflow products primarily serve the pharmaceutical and biotech industries that require reliability, product safety, purity and cleanability. The Quattroflow production program consists of four pump series:
QF 150: This pump series is the best entry for laboratories, research centers and universities - small, portable, quiet and scalable.
QF 1200: A versatile tool for many applications in laboratories, pilot and production plants worldwide. Stainless steel valve plate and new diaphragms allow inline steaming, autoclaving and easy cleaning.
QF 4400: The QF-4400 Series is used in mid-sized crossflow systems and in chromatography systems, where gradient mixing requires a 100:1 turndown ratio.
QF 20K: The biggest Quattroflow pump with a max. capacity of 20000 l/h meets the requirements of high process volumes.
The pump series 150, 1200 and 4400 are also available in a "single use" version with product chambers made of plastic. The main focus is the demand of the users for prevention of expensive and time-consuming flushing.
